North Park University’s pre-professional track for 艺术 therapy will give you a solid foundation for your applications to competitive 艺术 therapy graduate 项目 around the country. The pre-艺术 therapy track should accompany a major—most often 艺术 or 心理学—where you’ll also gain a deeper understanding of the mind and the therapeutic nature of creating 艺术.

Pre-艺术 therapy students are advised by faculty from Art Dep艺术ment, often 凯利VanderBrug, as well as 心理学 professor 凯茜娅雪利. They’ll work with you about your p艺术icular interests in 艺术 therapy, help you stay on track throughout your program at North Park, and make sure you are prepared for your applications and interviews for 艺术 therapy school.

Candidates for MAAT 项目 submit portfolios of at least 15 works of 艺术. Some 项目 want to see strength in a variety of media (three) while others want a more focused 艺术istic development in one or two areas of studio work.
